Program 1: NASA Orbit Pavilion
10:15 AM, 11:30 AM, 4:00 PM
NYU (West 4th Street)

Enter the “NASA Orbit Pavilion” – a massive, interactive sculpture installation premiering at the World Science Festival – and learn about Earth Science satellites. These satellites vigilantly monitor our planet’s ever-changing pulse from their unique vantage points in orbit. Listen to the sounds of the satellites in real time, view our planet through the 3-D program Eyes on the Earth and holograms of rovers, and conduct hands-on activities with NASA scientists. Designed by NASA and StudioKCA.

Program 2: Space Exploration – Reaching New Heights
10:15 AM, 4:00 PM
Pier 86/The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

Space exploration plans include going deeper into space for longer periods of time. Conduct experiments with NASA scientists and learn about future explorations to Mars and other parts of the solar system, the advancements in flight and technology, and scientific research that is being conducted right now in space. In addition, take a private tour of the Space Shuttle Pavilion.
