NewSpace is the overarching umbrella of the Teachers in Space project. It’s defined as the people, businesses and organizations working to open the space frontier to human settlement through economic development.
On this journey, in NewSpace, will be found the exciting and challenging STEM professional opportunities. It will rival the days of the Moon landing effort where the average age of an engineer was 32.
NewSpace is characterized by excitement, action, pace and innovation. It is about breaking new ground. It is about explorers, enjoyers and entrepreneurs.
Students and teachers accustomed to the wealth of information available about NASA programs and the large budget that NASA used to have to support education often find NewSpace a bit of a challenge to study. For now, one of the best ways to keep abreast of happenings in the world of NewSpace is to subscribe to the monthly news digest called The NewSpace News. Past issues are also available.
